My Udaipur

"My Udaipur” is an oil painting that I did in 2022 based off of my trip to India in 2018. I had gone to India to celebrate my friend’s wedding and if I had to take anything away from the Indian culture, it was that it celebrated color and vibrancy. This painting is based off a photo I took on Lake Pichola in Udaipur just as the sun was setting. From the picture, I could see a multitude of colors from the boats, from the sunset, and from reflections off the water. I wanted to celebrate Indian culture by really bringing forward all those colors I saw and what came of it was this rainbow-esque painting that you see before you.
