I find it the most natural and enjoyable to capture subjects and moments that connect to pleasant memories. It is when I feel most at peace with my camera. Rather than feeling it is an intruder in the moment, it becomes a tool that I utilize to keep special moments present. I remember this day so clearly–the chilly air, the thick mist hanging amidst the trees, the silence except our footsteps on the moist, leafy ground. With this photo, I feel those moments of peace once more. I hope to share the connection I have with this person and with this moment, with you, too.
