I haven't gone a week without knitting or crocheting in the past 3 years. I find it relaxing and I love making up patterns in my head as I go along, but recently I've been putting more thought into planning projects like with the jellyfish tapestry. Each stitch is treated as 1 pixel in a photograph or drawing and I follow a grid pattern row after row.
I love being able to build tangible objects that I want to see in my home or on my body and experimenting with silhouettes, colors, textures, and patterns. Fiber art also makes me come up with creative and sustainable solutions, like using old socks and leftover yarn clippings as stuffing for the star pillow.
